Is It The Flu? No Congestion? |
Had a flu shot back in December then on Saturday night I start getting mild aches in my arms and legs. Felt a little crappy on Sunday then went to work on Monday and had to leave about 4:40pm as I started feeling pretty crappy. For the last two days I have had bad leg and arm aches, fever flucuating between 99.5 and 102.5 (100 right now) and no energy. I've slept pretty much 18 hours a day. I dont have any real congestion, coughing of any sort and I am a smoker. Any idea if this could be something other than the flu? IS this something I need to go to the doctor for to get better? I've missed 3 days of work and really want to be better by Monday. Classic symptoms of Influenza are respiratory. If you have no runny nose, COUGH, Headache, you don't have the Influenza. But there are plenty of other lovely viruses out there that can make you feel just as crappy. The fever and body aches definately go with influenza, but it must contain a significant respiratory component. |
