Is it the flu or the miscarriage that's making me feel weak and lightheaded?

So, this week I've suffered a miscarriage at 5 weeks and I also have had the flu. Well, today I feel weak, which is pretty normal for the flu, but I feel very lightheaded as well and at times feel as if I might faint. Is this also from the flu or could it be from the miscarriage? I am drinking fluids like I should and I just got my appetite back, so I have been eating.

im so so so very sorry...

I'm sure you are tired of people saying this, but given your situation you really should see a doctor. It sounds like you are severely anemic. Don't worry, this is not unusual for miscarriages. I don't know your medical history or allergies or diet, but I think it is safe to say you should start taking iron supplements immediately. Eat spinach every day (which is high in iron). Iron can be rough on the stomach at first, so take it with something calming like whole wheat bread and make sure you are getting 25-30 grams of fiber each day. (Do not just take it with Sprite, as that won't help digestion.)
