I had the flu for two days and didn't eat a thing -- will it hurt my weight loss plan? |
i've been on a healthy balanced diet for 2 months and lost 4 kgs! (8 pounds) but i i had the flu a couple of days ago and didn't eat anything for 2 days...someone told me something about starvation mode. did my body think i'm starving? did the 2 days hurt my metabolism? Your Metabolism could have slowed down, but if your sick, don't worry about it. I didn't eat for about four days but I drank water. For now, just be concerned about getting better and if you're not hungry, at least drink water and take multi vitamins. no it could help jk no..you didnt eat for ONLY 2 days, that means u will loose more weight. continue eating healthy, and u will loose more. im not sure. but good thing u didnt have it for 3 weeks! i lost 20 pounds. and.. im 120 normally! but i think ull be fine, it didnt hurt ur metabolism just go back to the healthy balanced diet and ull be fine! no but it actually will help um. im guessing u lost weight? That should have helped you lose a few pounds!! Without eating anything probably not much as long as ur drinking Not really your body was more concerned about fighting the virus than metabolism. Just get back on the plan you will be fine. No don't worry about it. Your body was in a crisis mode. You will lose more weight. It didn't hurt it in the long run but for the next week or two it may be a little off. Also you probably lost those pounds all in muscle so it wil lower your base need for calories until you regain it. Well it didn't help, I'll tell you that! yes your body shuts down because its too busy trying to repair any damages done to ur bosy and it doesnt really think about hunger, so yea, your bod would have gone into starvation but it wouldn't affect anything coz its only two days, just get back onto ur diet as usual, but start ur way gradually back up yes, it will, the body gets used to changes very quickly if you dont eat for two days, anything you do eat, gets digested VERY VERY SLOWLY, this means youll get fat...google it....BUT NOT TO WORRY! different people respond differently to illness and waight loss. No. Go back to the diet you were doing when you feel up to it. no just get back on track For your body to go into starvation mode, you need to eat little for a consistent amount of time. A couple of days won't kill your diet. I'm glad your over the flu....the next time you get sick with anything don't stop eating, even if you have no appetite..you're body needs the fuel to help you fight...breakfast should be a really good solid meal to start the day...when you're sick it's not about taste or not feeling like eating...it's giving your body more ammo to fight for you....food feeds the immune system...plus you'd be surprised how much faster you get over something if you continue to eat normal or maybe even kick it up a notch. no it won't |
