I have Flu, but need to get better....help!!!?


I have had a cold since last Thursday, so 1 week, then 5 days ago, i suddenly became worse and have been in bed since with Flu! I feel a bit better, but still have horrible cold, and cough, and feel so tired still, but i have to go to a party in 1 week's time, and was planning on drinking, will i be better? x

Here are things you need to do to get better fast:

Don't do much physical activity. Let your body save it's energy to fight the virus.

Drink lots of liquid. Gatorade, apple juice, and water. Not citrus juice because it can give you an upset stomach when having the flu...and you might vomit it up.

Eat. I know you don't have an appetite when you're sick, but it's good to eat something. Even if it's toast or something light. No greasy foods or heavy foods like red meat.

Rest. Lots of rest. Lay down on the couch or bed. Take a few days off from school/work and rest and sleep. Save your energy for fighting the flu.

If you do this you'll be fine quickly. If you aren't and decide to go to the party anyway and drink, do NOT take any medicine for hiding your symptoms. Taking meds, of any kind, and alcohol is almost always a very very bad idea and you'll get really sick. (Just in case the situation comes up.)

Maybe a viral flu....you must be strict with your hygiene and yes.no going out till you are okay.otherwise you might get a relapse

you should be well over it by then, if not take some Benalyn cold tablets, they are something else. Have a good time at the party and be good ......yeah right.

i have tonsillitis at the moment and since getting it I've just drunk loads of water and taken loads of painkillers I'm sort of getting better, drink some orange juice too it's high in vit C i would but it burns my tonsils, get well soon.xXx.

Try vitamin C ,echinaca, no dairy , ...and rest. sweating a lot can help but don't get a chill on a wet skin

Get on Vitamins C (2000mg.) and E. Both work together to build your emune system.
7up is good to settle your stomach. Old wives tale but works is chicken soup. But not Salty Cambells crap.

it is clincally proven that orange juice can help out with colds and flus because of the vitamin c supply it gives. just ask a doctor! (oh and i hope feel better in time for your party! ;-)

If you are well enough to eat, eat an orange or drink orange juice. They contain a lot of Vitamic C, which will boost your immune system to fight off the Flu quicker.
