A Flu Question? |
My Dad had the flu last week and now my mom, brother, and his fiance have it. I think I may now be getting it because I feel sluggish and such. My question is this, my two male rats, can they catch it from me? I play with them constantly and don't want them to get sick. Make sure to wash your hands before handling them and spray lysol to kill germs and clean with a anti bacterial cleaner. Try not to handle them as much while ur sick. I say treat them as you would a baby if you were getting sick and didn't want the baby to catch it. Sorry but we all know they use rats to test for diseases humans catch so I'm sure they can catch it! Well last week I had the flu and I have a hamster and I did feed it and play with it twice and now its kind of getting it so its yes. There are very few diseases that will pass between species. The mammal that is most likely to pass diseases back and forth with humans is the Pig. Don't worry about them. |
