Given that you have already been feeling sick for the past few days, it's more likely that you have the stomach flu. The stomach flu virus, named Norovirus, is an RNA virus of the Caliciviridae Taxonomic Family that accounts for 90% of all stomach flu cases. With stomach flu, the SYMPTOMATIC DIFFERENCE is the vomiting, diarrhea, and/or even fever. It is possible to have vomiting and diarrhea WITHOUT any of the cold symptoms of sneezing, runny nose, sinus congestion, sinus infection, headache or body ache. It is always possible to have both the stomach flu combined with the cold or the seasonal flu.

Right now, I would not recommend for you to go anywhere. I highly doubt you have the energy to crawl out the door even if you try. Unfortunately, the current global medical technology has not developed ANY drug that can kill ANY kind of virus----even the simplest-genetic-structured form of the common cold. That is because viruses are not technically "alive." They do have their own genetic codes, but they need "host cells" in our bodies as "copy machines" to replicate and reproduce for activation. Another reason is that, although there are antiviral drugs that can temporarily "disable" them by changing their "shapes" so they can't attach to our cells, viral structures are constantly changing as they develop their own immunity. Think of the viral-receptor shapes like the groove-marks on different keys and our cells like locks: we can change the locks so the keys' grooves no longer fit to attach, but the viral genetic codes can change the shape of the keys to fit and attach again. So "killing" them would just be impossible.

Even you if you go in to see a doctor, he/she won't compromise the medical ethics of prescribing antibiotics, which ONLY works for BACTERIAL infections and won't work on viruses. The only way to fight it would be with your immune system through time. Here are what will really help speed up your recovery time:

1. Take LOTS of Vitamin C (drink orange juice, grape juice, eat high Vitamin C content foods, or take the tablet supplements) to boost your immune system, which is the ONLY way to fight viruses of any kind. And I mean CHUG it like it were water: 5+ big glasses daily. Don't worry, you cannot overdose on Vitamin C. Even if you can't hold much down without throwing up, try to drink some anyway. Every little bit helps. If you can somehow have enough money to buy orange juice, perhaps ask your neighbor to get some for you. Or just tell them the situation and see if they're willing to buy you some and you will pay them back as soon as your parents come home.

2. If you have no appetite for food, DO NOT force yourself to eat----not even chicken noodle soup or oatmeals because it will only worsen your nausea and vomiting.

3. Instead of drinking water, choose Gatorade, because it does contain electrolytes that you body needs. And the low amount of sugar will give you the temporary energy boost so that you DON'T pass out and keep you up and about so you have the energy to reach for medicine and juice.

4. As for the upset stomach symptoms, you can take Peptobismol, which the ingredient Bismuth Subsalicylate is much more gentle on your stomach and actually takes care of the nausea and vomiting better than Imodium, because the Loperamide Hydrochloride ingredient in Imodium ONLY aims at controlling diarrhea and can cause these adverse side effects:
----dry mouth
----dizziness
----drowsiness
----vomiting (which can make you feel worse if you have nausea)
----stomach pain, discomfort, or distention (enlargement)
----constipation
----fatigue

5. Get plenty of rest.

I understand your fear of doctors. I was once like that when I was a kid, too, which was a direct result of my fear of needles. Even now that I'm an M.D., (don't laugh) my knees STILL wobble at the sight of needles, so I'm very glad it's not my job to give shots. And I especially hate those typical white walls at most hospitals and clinics (I prefer colors). The only reason I chose to go to both med school and pharmacy school is because of my passion for healing, but I refuse to work a job in which I need to see much of needles, least of all give shots. ;P

If you have been feeling sick already, I would say it is not food poisoning. Are your parents going to be away for a while? I would say that even a common flu bug wouldn't last this long. I would contact your parents and get in to see a doctor 鈥?it may be an infection.

it sounds like indigestion ..pucking 8 times its not ok..please call your doctor or call your parents ! If not go to the E.R ..pills can't make you ok if your feeling this sick

chinese food made me sick a few weeks ago and luckly i went to the E.R because I was dehydrated

lay down
chug water
and stuff yourself with food
