Flu, now sore throat and minor coughing?

i think i had the flu, and its finally just dying down now, before it was killing me, my eyes hurt when moved, bad cough, lots of mucus in the back of my throat, all that stuff

but now my eyes are fine, my stomach doesn't hurt, but i still have a minor cough, and my throat hurts really bad, what can i do about the cough and sore throat??

and don't say gargle salt water (i tried it and it helped for about 2 seconds)

cough drops, tea, lots of water
