How to care for son with flu? |
My son has come down with a flu that has his head full and taken his appetite away, has had diarhea. Coughs and sounds very congested. He is coming home for me to care for him.He has had it for a week already and says he's not much better. He had taken decongestants faithfully, immodium when he needed to and Pedialyte to drink. Sometimes nyquil to keep him calm at night. What should I get him to eat when he starts feeling like eating?SHould I make him take a hot bath or just let him sleep it off? He's 26, been touring in a rock n roll band for 3 weeks. This has basically knocked him off his feet.Maybe sleeping in a real bed will help also. It would be helpful to know your son's age, as dehydration can be an issue with younger children (and adults as well, if diarrhea and vomiting are an issue). At any rate, I recommend the BRATT diet: |
