I had nose bleeding with strong flu and cough but my INR was 2.36 ? was warfarin the cuase of bleeding?

My INR was 2.36 when i had nose bleeding a month ago . It was my first problem with warfarin since 1989. was warfarin the cause of this bleeding even i had strong flu before the bleeding ?

Probably a combo

That's a pretty good INR for most people, there are times doctors want it higher or lower but for most part between 2 and 3 are good readings.

Most likely with the flu you had been blowing nose a lot etc. and the membrane in your nose has worn thin. You can try things like vasaline and put in your nose to help strengthen.

My INR runs around 2.8 (range allowed for me 2.5-3.5) and rarely have any problem. Just an very occassional short lived, hold it for a few minutes nosebleed. I've been on warfarin since 1995.
