Any tips for getting over the flu (tested positive influenza A)? |
Yeah, my immune system stinks. I am to tired to eat or drink. Thank you all! There are lots of things you can do: Get plenty of rest and follow your doctor's instructions. You need some bed rest and try not to overdo anything. If you do anything, make sure it's something you can do such as light lifting or something that doesn't require heavy lifting. Did they put some type of wire down your noise to test it? I was sick this year and they did that to me! It's the first time I've seen them do a actual test, fortunely it tested negative. If you got the flu like that you are one sick puppy. Rest, fluids, is all you can do at this point. Good luck! oh my gosh i totally feel for you, i went to the hospital back in february and tested positive for the same! they put me on an iv since i was so dehydrated and i swear to god i left the hospital feeling SO much better. drink drink drink that water and i promise you'll feel better. tylenol pm was a great tool too to help me sleep through the night. did you get a Rx for tamiflu? it didnt help me at all, but i still took all of it. feel better!!! i know its rough! Lots and lots of rest. That does tend to happen as we get older. Rest, and fluids are a must. Chicken broth made right from bullion is really good to help replace the loss of vitamins from sickness. I'm so sorry you're ill. Try to rest as much as possible and do try to drink fluids. You don't want to dehydrate, that will only make matters worse. Take care and get well. :) Oh dear is there anything worse, just have the tissues on standby at all times, lol. Lots of fluids, especially hot things. Hot tea with lemon might help. Also, take advil or the like to help with the aches. Then obviously get plenty of sleep. You need to drink plenty of fluids to flush it through. have you heard of the saying Feed a cold Starve a fever. It works. a lot of rest, I know your use to running we all are. stay in summers coming. body aches, headaches-tylenol, fever-advil, food, easy soups, nothing toheavy, water,tea,-fluids keep from hydration, plenty of rest, hope you feel better soon, take care, |
