Why won't my flu go away? |
i've had the flu since saturday night.. now its wednesday morning and i'm going to miss another day of school... when is it going to go away and what can i do for all this nausea? The flu is a virus and virus are not treated by antibiotics. They can take up to 7 to 10 days to go away. If you unfortunately have gastrointestinal symptoms with the flu, keep to simple carbohydrates (crackers/toast/that sort of thing) and push fluids. Be patient. next year get a flu shot that way if you get it the next time it wont be so bad. need some help with that? if you have nausea, it is probably not influenza, and at this point you need to call the doctor before you get dehydrated. It is a viral fever and it takes its course. |
