I have the flu. How can I get better quick? |
So, I just started my new job, and go figure, I call in sick the second shift because my dog got put down, but they understood. Now today, only a few days later, I called in sick again due to a flu, and I'm worried that I'll have to call in sick yet again tomorrow, but I really don't want to. They sounded displeased on the phone this morning and I really don't want to get fired. See if your dr. can prescribe you Tamiflu. It will help shorten the severity and length of the symptoms. I would also call in sick tomorrow, even if you feel better, I doubt your co-workers (or boss) would appreciate you coming to work and spreading germs all over the place. Get some rest and see if your dr. will give you Tamiflu. Go to the doctor or walk in clinic and get a sick note to cover you...if it is flu you will not be fit to work and it should not be shared around. You will be in bed for 3-5 days and even then if go back to work you will be dragging if it is influenza. You can try anti-viral but it will only limit illness by 1-2 days..best to get the sick note and curl up with a book, popiscles, and soups. You need to sleep. The best thing to do is see if you actually have the flu...the flu is viral so nothing will help you get better but if it the flu the Dr will give you Tamiflu which will help with your bodyaches...hopefully you don't have the flu and can get antibotics and will feel much better either way I woulod not got to work...especially if you have a temp. Get Better soon You really have to just let it run it's corse. Keep hydrated at all times, rest and sleep a lot, take vitamin C. Other than that there is really nothing you can do. You can take advil for the pain and fever, and wrap up in blankets to keep warm. I hope you feel better soon and can get back to work orange juicee orange juicee. You need to let your body rest. Get plenty of fluids in your system and do not let your fever get high. Try taking some Tylenlo. You might have to show up to work sick and if they see how bad you are then they most likely will send you home. Another things is to make sure you are taking vitamins and get some astraglus root. It is a Chinese herb that is found in most Vitamin/Herb shops. It helps support the body's immune system when ill or under stress. It's called TIME unfortunately.......no quick cures...... |
