But as always exercise caution and do consult your doctor before resorting to any sort of remedy.

Yarrow, drunk as a herbal tea (herb is widely available) will bring down the fever, which will help with the aches. It tastes very much like Chamomile.
Couchgrass (pronounced cooch) will ease the rheumatic pain.
Elderflower, also as tea, will help with the mucus build up which is causing the headaches.
The three work very well in combination & make a pleasant tasting blend.
Good old honey & lemon for sore throat (this can also be added to the above tea blend & is delicious).
Avoid Thyme, Sage & Peppermint throughout your pregnancy as these can harm the baby.

Yes! I have one that works for me. Sweating is one of the most complicated body processes because you are able to get rid off toxins but no nutrients. try this, put on a cotton tshirt and on that a long sleeve sweater, long sleeping pants and socks. Now drink a good and hot chicken soup (in China they use an old hen soup but i guess you won't get a hen old enough overhere). After drinking the soup go to bed with a good layer of blankets and start sweating the whole night/day. You will see that the more you sweat the better you feel. Even the sore throat will get better.

Get a pot of water, slice up some ginger and garlic, boil it for a good while (you can pop excess broth in the fridge and heat it up whenever you need it). To serve, add some honey and lemon. For the body aches and pains try some arnica, in addition to old fashioned remedies such as a hot water bottle and warm bath. A cold pack for headaches. If you are running a very high temperature you may to reconsider the later.

Oh- add some epsom salts to a hot bath.

Try Homeopathic Bryonia 30c (from Boots or health store)
1 tablet 3 times daily for 3 days.

Green tea, garlic, black elderberry, and Vitamin C are just some of the more easily available choices indictated in recent studies as either protecting against aches, fever and congestion, or reducing flu's overall symptoms considerably.

Green tea - Shown in studies as natural anti-viral and anti-bacterial remedy, it is also recommended by some doctors and medical nutritionists in capsule form as a supplement to your daily vitamin regimen. No matter what the source, green tea is a natural immune system booster that may help you get you through the worst of winter season symptoms.

Black elderberry extract - Well-indicated as an excellent treatment for staving off colds and flu, black elderberry is a natural anti-viral agent. Look for it in capsules, lozenges, or syrup form at your local health food store where it is also generally available in sugar-free formulations for diabetics.

Olive leaf extract - . Also known as oleuropein, olive leaf extract is converted into elonolic acid within the body, a process the drug companies cannot patent. Along with its antiviral and antibiotic indications, in some studies the extract has been shown to lower blood pressure and control suger levels. Look for it at your local health food store in in capsule or liquid form. The typical recommended daily dose is 500 - 1000 milligrams. Consult with your doctor if you are already taking antibiotics, or if you are on a blood pressure or diabetes medication regimen.

Garlic - Used for centuries as a natural antibiotic and antiviral, modern formulations are now available in pill form. Odorless garlic remedies also are available, but some nutrionists recommend that in odorless form the essential ingredient has been removed, and so recommend enteric-coated garlic. The enteric coating helps the pill dissolve deeper in your digestive track to directly combat the flu virus...and doesn't result in garlic breath. Note: since garlic is a blood thinner, consult your doctor if you are currently on an aspirin or prescription blood thinner regimen.

Vitamin C - Popularly known as an immune booster, many studies have shown Vitamin C to have marked benefical effects for people who are malnourished and/or under stress - the perfect description for those of us during the winter holiday rush. Increase your chances of avoiding the bug with maintenance daily doses and increase the dose when you feel the first signs of cold or flu coming on.

Along with a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, be sure to get enough rest - and avoid stress whenever possible - and you'll naturally have a good shot at fighting off colds or flu this winter and in every flu season to come ...

Hope you get well.
Take care of yourself and the baby!!

Warmth and your partner's gentle massage might well help with back and leg pains. Get you to relax - release muscles which might be trapping nerves (which give the sense of pain.)
If that works - head-ache should also fade away - and the sore throat ought to respond with a few doses of warm tea laced with honey.
At 16 weeks - perhaps anxiety is causing you physical problems - but you're wise enough to realise 'medicines' won't help.
(My best suggesion - hope it helps.)

Get some radox muscle soak and have a bath and for your sore throat try honey and lemon
