Flu shot - anyone get a chronic illness shortly after getting the shot.? |
I've been dealing wtih peripheral neuropathy, etc since 6 days after my flu shot this year. At first I thought it was caused by my surgery I had in Sept but that was 6 weeks earlier. My doctor has never been able to identify the cause of my neuropathy as I don't have diabetes, high cholesterol, never had chemo, etc. Just wondering if anyone else actually knows they developed a condition from the flu shot. not me but my mom is. she got the flu shot at a Safeway one day about 3 or 4 years ago, and she has suffered from ADEM, a disease that never goes away and is related to MS. She has multiple leashins on her brain stem and she has trouble seeing out of her right eye. i know that this doesn't answer your question, but i wanted to let you know what can happen. the chances of anyone getting it are 100,000 to 1. Has it been diagnosed as the flu? The flu vaccine will only immunise you for the latest virulent strain of the flu, not necessarily all the types that were out and this really should have been mad... Are you sure it was flu you got not a common cold? I doubt you could survive 4 instances of flu one after another. In any case, that suggest you take better care of yourself instead of getting ...
