Ok im at home from school right now with a stomach flu or stomach virus what do i do? |
i dont need any ways to prevent it i just need to know some how to make it feel better or to stop having diarhea and to stop throwing up Been there and I'm sorry to tell you there isn't a lot you can do. It has to run "it's course" and get out of your body's system. One suggestion for eating is called the "BRAT" diet. It consist of bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (dry). That seems to settle your stomach and you'll be less likely to suffer side effects as other foods might cause. If the diarrhea and vomiting continues for a 24 hour period, you should see a doctor. You don't want your body to become dehydrated. Seeing a physician should be your first step to cure stomach flu. Seeing your doctor isn't to get a prescription for medicine to help cure gastroenteritis but to get medicine to fight the flu symptoms: anti-spasmotics for cramps, antinauseants for vomiting, and some blood and stool tests to make sure it isn't something worse鈥攍ike worms. Gross. Get off the computer, eat some saltine crackers (they help with nausea), and get some sleep. Sleep is the best thing for any sickness. Go veg on the couch or in your bed, turn on a movie or TV show, and GET THAT REST!! Get to feeling better! Drink plenty of water. Don't eat a lot, maybe try some saltine crackers. Then just turn on your favorite video game and enjoy the day off. |
