Scheduled for nose surgery while fighting the flu?

I'm still fighting an amazingly intense flu...went to the docs and they couldn't prescribe me anything because I wasn't running a temp @ the time...but I'm scheduled for a septoplasty/nose repair surgery in less than 2 weeks...can my body handle this? Tips?

it will not go ahead if you still have any signs of flu...........

also cough or cold it's just not in you best interest to have it done
