My arm still hurts from the flu shot and I got the shot 2 and a half yrs ago??

The pain in my arm started the EXACT moment that I got the flu shot. When the pain did not go away, I went to see my doctor twice. Both times she told me that the pain wasn't caused by the shot even though I could put my finger on the exact spot where the injection was. I am 100% positive that my arm pain was caused by the injection. I even went to physical therapy but the pt only irritated it. It has been two and a half years and I still can't sleep on my right side or put my right arm under my pillow when I sleep. Even today I was brought to tears just trying to put my hair up in a ponytail. My arm still aches and feels weak. Let me reming you, it has been TWO YEARS!! Is there anyone out there who has this same problem caused by the flu shot?? Are there any Doctors or nurses who can help me out?? I really need to know what to do next. I can't imagine living with this pain for the rest of my life. Thank you all for your time.

I had an x-ray and nothing showed up. Everyone needs to understand that this was absolutely positively caused by the flu shot. I NEVER had any arm pain before. The pain started the EXACT moment that I had the injection and it NEVER went away. I am NOT the only person to complain about this. Just search answers for "flu shot arm pain" and see for yourself. It was caused by the flu shot POSITIVELY!! My Dr. just doesn't want to admit that her nurse jacked up my arm.

Go to a doctor you've never seen before. Do NOT mention the flu shot to them at first. Tell them how long it's been and go through the type of pain etc and only after they've examined you mention you had a flu shot. It might be nerve damage.

As your doctors said, the pain cannot be because of the shot but the only thing i can think of is there might be some nerve injury. There are many nerves in that area but all of them are small and shouldn't cause this much pain and all the important and big ones runs deeper.

Now you are the first person who ever has complaint of such thing and i don't even know if its possible.

They could have possibly hit the bone if they were using the incorrect size needle. Maybe they hit a nerve. Have you ever had an x-ray it CAT Scan of your arm to find out if there is something else going on. Go see your Dr and have them check it out.

When you got injected, it probably hit muscle or nerve tissue. If thats not it then maybe part of the needle got stuck in your arm. Whatever the reason, you need to get your arm x-rayed or go to the hospital.

That is terrible. I'm not sure but i think I've heard of this kind of reaction from the flu shot. If no one can help you, tell as many people as possible. Alert the media. They are good at letting people know things.

That is totally psychotic. Maybe something went wrong with the shot, although your doctor said it wasn't caused by the injection... This is totally weird.

i seriously think that if it was a complication with the flu shot..your arm would have fallen off by now....its muscle related...i would go to a better doctor and explain the situation thoroughly.

I have never heard of that kind of reaction to a flu shot before, but your doctor should be able to allay your fears somewhat.

that means there is probably something seriously wrong and u need to go to the hospital, might need surgery, dont wait around and let these things be ignored.

they probably hit a nerve as well as a vein. You probably have some nerve damage, you might need cortisone. Go to the doctor though... before you do anything!!

maybe the needle hit a nerve, which then caused some scar tissue, that then presses against that same nerve? maybe.

p.s...not a doctor

Just go to a doctor.
