What happened to the Spanish Flu?

Was there a vaccine or did it just sort of.. disappear?

It mutated, as flu viruses do. Half the population of the world was infected though. Those who survived it were then immune to it, and the ones who were not infected were either naturally immune, or just fortunate not to be exposed to it. Without fresh hosts to infect, the virus could not keep replicating itself and died out.
