influenza is an upper respiratory infection that can cause pneumonia or bronchitis in person with a weakened immune system. it can exacerbate the symptoms of asthma.

um ...err i guess when the mucus clot your nose it also blocks your airway to your lungs so that's why u breath through your mouth
thus making u unable to taste food better during your flu
