The flu, is my kid faking it?

Is it possible that my kid could have the flu? it has been really hot lately, but we've had recently had very cold weather.
So my question is this: Although we've had very hot weather, he claims to have the flu, i sent him to school the other day, and it was really cold, we鈥檝e experienced some drizzle, but now he's claming to have the flu again.
is this possible?

feel his forehead and see if its overly hot, which would indicate at least a fever. other symptoms would be vomiting, fatigue, lack of appetite, etc, but to be sure he has the flu, take him to the doctor.

If he is showing symptoms of the flu then he is sick. How old is he?
Some symptoms: congestions, sore throat, high fever, coughing, green mucus, phlegm, watery eyes, sniffles, clogged nose. He would have to look really sick. If you suspect he has the flu then you need to take him to his doctor.

The rule in our house is, if you don't have a fever, you've got to go to school. You can't fake a fever, and that's a major symptom of the flu.

One of our kids had a perfect attendance record, we let him take a day off when he wasn't feeling well. But that was only one day for the whole school year.

check out his symptoms.
- is he running a fever?
- throwing up?
- diahrrea?
- loss of appetite?
- anything of the like?

if so, there's a chance he does. but if he's well enough to go to school and get through the day, i wouldnt think so

tell your kid you are taking him to doctor if he or she don't want to go. it may be other reason for escuse.
