Is a flu or something close going around?

Is there a new spring flu going around?

I recently came down with an odd set of symptoms, not typical flu, but enough to leave me weak and run down.

- Swollen tonsil (no pain)
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Hard time sleeping
- Fatigue

The "summer flu" you are describing is probably caused by an infection with bacteria known as legionella. The symptoms use describe sound like "pontiac fever" which is caused by these organisms, and is extremely common in the warmer months. Most 'colds' you catch during the summer are actually caused by legionella. Chances are you caught pontiac fever--or perhaps just a virus--nothing to worry about.

I think there are so many new viruses going around. But your symptoms could mean many different things. If you dont start to feel better make sure you go to the doctors and have yourself throughly checked out, have some tests done and try to get some answers.

i have the same symtoms as u seem to have with a variation of one or two, i think something is going around because a lot of people i know have the same symptoms but its weird cause it's not quite the flu completely

If you have swollen tonsils not a sore throat that means you have an infection going on and all your signs show that but if its a sore throat that is different but if your tonsils are swollen you need to get in the doctors asap.
