How do people get flus and how long does it take to get a flu?

Like I'm doing a report right, and I need to know how people get flus and after exposure to whatever how long it'll take for the symptoms to show up like a fever, etc.

The easiest way to catch the flu viruses is from other people-by shaking their hands, being within sneezing distance, or touching things they have handled.

The flu is transmitted by airborne particles from an infected person's respiratory system, large numbers of people in a community or even in a country can easily contact the disease in a relatively short period of time. Understandably, crowds encourage transmission of the flu. In addition, since flu spreads most easily where temperatures and humidity are low, most cases of influenza occur in fall or winter months.

The flu is highly contagious. Once you have came in contact with an infected person... you actually have the flu... and you will begin to develop the symptoms.

Symptoms can include fever, sore throat, cough, headache, fatigue, and aches and pains in the muscles. The flu can last from three days to a week. but full recovery may take longer.

well flu like disease travels through contact or air...Once you got the flu from a person who is sick, usally it takes 2-3 days for the signs and symptoms to occure. Once you have the flu if it's baterial then they can treat w/ an antibiotic but if its viral then the doc just let it take its course. If it's a viral then usally 2- 3 weeks after you got the flu, it should go away.

flu season is over. contact the local health department.
