Is it possible to get the flu in this time of the year?

Yesterday I had the worse fever ever in the histroy of me...that's what it felt like at least. My head was burning and my eyes and throat where burning too. I'm 23 mind you, but my parents still took care of me and got me medications...(I had no idea what i was drinking) i think it was Tylenol extra extra strength. Anyway, i sweated ALOT and now i feel perfectly fine...maybe a little scratchy throat... But what the hell, was that the flu in the beginning of SUMMER???? or is there something in my health i should be worried about?

No i did have extreme muscle pain all over my body, and it started two days ago, but yesterday t really went down...

From what you describe, you had a 24-hour respiratory virus.

The main symptom of real influeza is muscle pains ... imagine what you had AND being beaten up by a big guy with a baseball bat. Real influenza lasts several days for the worst of it, and leaves you feeling like roadkill for a couple of weeks .... so if what you had was "yeaterday: and you are perfectly fine now, that was not the genuine flu.

It is possible to get the flu at this time of year, though much less common than during the "flu season" (roughly October through March, varies year to year). If your symptoms went away so quickly though, it's unlikely that you had influenza, it is most likely some other virus, as long as you keep getting better I wouldn't worry too much about it.

What you're describing is a virus. It's going around Vegas right now. I've got it and it went into bronchitis for me. I went to the doc and he said it was a bad cold. It's not really flu, but a bad cold seems like the flu.
