Is "man flu" a British thing or global? Man flu is a largely pejorative term that refers to the alleged exaggerated symptoms experienced by men when suffering from flu or a cold. It has a negative, make believe kind of meaning. It's global. aww, bless. it's a terrible disease, aint it! i don't know if it's global or not, but i suppose men are the same the world over! just lock him in the bedroom until he's over it. diane.
