Can anybody give me a full description of "The Flu" and it's History?

Are you kidding? Whole books have been written on this. Here's a brief overview:

Flu = Influenza - origins Italian. Too recent to be 100% clear that it was the only description as the "Flu" has been around for centuries(+ 2500 years) and is a virus with a twist. It can adapt and mutate into other strains in a very short period of time. Normally each hemisphere of the world would get a six month stain of virus and then be virtually free of outbreaks. Today we have helped the virus become stronger due to airline travel and have created super viruses. Search pandemics on your browser and you will see tonnes of good literature. I just scrapped the surface of what is available.
