Is my girlfriend still contagious from stomach flu? |
ok she was sick on sunday and fine on monday its now wendsday is she still contagious? she has no symptoms now and everyone in her family doesnt have them anymore too. when can i kiss her? is it safe to hug? i saw her today and we hugged. when can i stop worrying. the 72 hour thing is up now so is she contagious? The answer kind of depends on what actually caused the infection. If it was the norovirus, then yes, she may still be contagious. It really depends on her immune system and how much virus she was exposed to. People infected with norovirus are contagious from the moment they begin feeling ill to at least 3 days after recovery. Some people may be contagious for as long as 2 weeks after recovery. Therefore, it is particularly important for people to use good handwashing and other hygienic practices after they have recently recovered from norovirus illness. No she is not contagious. If its been 72 hours it is good and if she is OK tomorrow, go nuts kiss her. |
