How can I get a note from a doctor for my employer to prove that I am home sick with the flu? |
I live in Newport Beach, CA. I recently moved here with my family from the San Fernando Valley, and we don't have a doctor down here yet. I got a job as a restaurant hostess. I you should just go in and let them see how sick you are. then they will send you home. otherwise you just have to pay for a doc appt for your note , just like the rest of the world. Go to an urgent care center for treatment (you just walk in) and get one while you are there seeing the doctor. It might be a good idea; I once got "let go" because I was sick for two weeks and it was the flu. That's not fair because I could not even get out of bed but it was okay because I disliked the job and employer. Go to the local doctor's office and ask to be seen by the doctor. Maybe then you can get a note for your employer. Make an appt with a local clinic and when the doctor comes in to see you ask for a note for work. |
