Possible Flu?

I was with a friend for about 24 hours, a little over, and last night around 9:00 we were at a movie and she started feeling sick. She ended up vomiting, and felt better after. We continued watching the movie and around 10:15 or so, she felt sick and vomited again.
Again she felt better, but when she got home, she puked yet again.
She was pale looking, but had no other symptoms.
We ate all the same things throughout that time, so I would imagine that it isn't food poisoning, and she thinks that her family that she was with before (immediately before I saw her) possibly had the same thing.
Is this the flu?
If so, what are my chances of getting it?
It has been about 40 hours since I first can in contact with her, and 12 since I last saw her.
I have washed my hands constantly since I got home from the movie, and have washed things around my house that she may have come in contact with.
Is there anything else I can do now to keep from getting it, or to stop it faster?

We also didn't share too much of anything, and we used different straws in our drink we had at the movies. (I didn't drink from it once she puked)
But she did come in contact with my puppy quite a bit, and we both did.
That is what I think I am most worried about.

Yes, it sounds to me like its a stomach flu. There is a possible chance for you to be getting since you were with her when she started and most of the time flus are most contagious. If your worried of catching it take some Zinc pills or Vitamin C that will help prevent colds and flus, most of the time. Hope you well, love! =]

Well, just in case I wouldn't use the computer, because you could spread any germs. Wipe down your laptop with something gentle that could kill germs. I'd do the same with your phone.

Also, going outside for a walk, etc. could help prevent spreading germs in the house.
