With a flu, what are the average days...?

that you throw up and/or, what I call, "bile"? I got back from Germany about, what, 3 or 4 days ago? I was really tired. I remembered feeling sick a lot there. A day after I came back, I ate a lot of junk. (Popcorn, extra-sugared crepes, 2 pizza slices) And not too long after, I spewed. It wasn't the food, or else my whole family would be doing the same thing. I kept barfing until I was empty, then sucked on some ice cubes when I was sleeping on the couch. In the morning, I thought I was alright because I sucked on a lot of ice cubes and didn't get sick, so, I guzzled a cup + a quarter of water.

...I biled 30 seconds afterwards. Much later, I tried coke. It was alright. I took some sips at a time. Then I was gagging, but barely anything came out 'cause it was a few sips. This is my 3rd day with the flu, with a million signs of getting better. One example, lots of coke and no spewing.

Anyways, to the point/Q of my story, with a flu, what are the average days you spew (whenever a single thing hits your stomach)? My parents normally say two days, and I believe them since this IS my third, but I need to make sure.




P.S. For those who don't know, bile is just regular stomach acid. Liquidy, and not mixed with any food.


P.S.S. It's hard to stay up all day and night with stomach aches and spewing whenever you get something in your "gullet". Please help me!

Sounds like you got the intestinal flu that is really going around bad. It can last any where from 24 hours to 4 or 5 days. Everyone is different. It can cause diarrhea, stomach cramps and pain, gas pain, vomiting and fever. It ain't a lot of fun. Try some dramamine tablets, they can help the nausea. Other wise, there is not much you can do, you just have to ride it out....
