I have the stomachh flu...cure please;?

My mom says drink many fluids
What do you think?
I feel like I want to through up so
should I?

"lemonaide" No no no! Do NOT drink lemonade as someone suggested. It will make you feel worse.

There is no such a thing as a stomach flu.Norwalk virus (which is commonly confused as the stomach flu) as nothing to do with the flu.

It is a virus that usually last 1-2 days. You get it by ingesting feces/vomit particles by not washing your hands before touching your mouth, nose and eyes.

It is very important to wash your hands throughout the day, even if nobody around you is sick.Hand sanitizer will not kill the virus.Bleach can.

Soap (including antibacterial) will also not kill the virus so it is a good idea to wash your hands for at least 15-20 seconds each time.

All you can do is drink fluids (to prevent dehydration) and rest. When you do eat, eat easily digestible foods such as soup.

How do you know it is the noro virus?

Usually the symptoms of Noro virus are stomach cramps, forceful vomiting, fatigue and watery diarrhea (feels like you are urinating out of your bum hole lol)

In this case, vomiting will not make the virus leave your body any faster. The virus has already attached itself to the intestinal walls (therefore you cannot vomit it up)

If you fell like vomiting then don't fight it.

Don't take any anti diarrheal medications unless you are taking a little bit to help with a nauseas tummy (the cramps might not go away until the next day)

So stay rested...sip water if you cannot drink it and relax.Tightening up your body will make it worse.

Feel better soon.

lemonaide, a whole lotta water, small amounts at a time,
don't try forcing out puke EVER, it only makes it worse, if u were gonna puke it will be a lot more puke, if u weren't u would puke anyway, so DONT FORCE IT OUT!!

Wait it out, make sure you keep hydrated. All you can do is wait. If you puke, puke, if not, don't force it.
