Is the stomach flu airborne? |
is it? if it was airborne everyone would get it Not quite, gastroenteritis (the proper name for stomach flu) is typically caused by bacteria or viruses that are spread by the faecal oral route, i.e. one of the symptoms is generally diarrhoea which means its much harder to keep hygiene conditions as you wish, and thus you potentially get some of the stomach flu organism (whichever it is) on your hands and in your mouth. |
