Why do people get flu shots? |
I never get them, yet I seem to do fine. I don't think I've ever gotten the flu. They are most effective for those who are elderly, very young or have a compromised immune system. They also make the flu vaccine a year in advance and try to guess in an educated way what strains of the virus will be going around. They are not always right, which can lead to the phenomenon of catching it anyway even after getting the shot. As for those who do not get it without having had the flu shot, they either have excellent immune systems to begin with and are able to fight it off before it even turns into a full blown virus, are somehow immune to it, are excellent at keeping their hands clean and staying away from those who are sick, are fortunate enough to to be around anybody that was sick to begin with or are just very lucky. They get the shots to avoid getting the flu. It is especially important if you are around babies or the elderly. The flu could just be an inconvenience for you but it could be life threatening for others in those groups. When they make the vaccine they try to figure out which strain will be the most prevalent and that is what they use (inactive version) to make the vaccine. Well, you are one of the lucky ones that don't get the flu. I have the flu almost every year and it is not fun. People get flu shots to help protect them from getting the flu. Which reminds me I need to get mine before it's to late. To prevent from getting the flu. I am a mom of 3 young children who bring stuff home from school all the time. They also get vaccinated. My husband has never gotten a flu shot and has never had the flu either. It just depends on the person. Duuuuuhhhhhh... To prevent getting the flu maybe? |

You can treat some of the symptoms such as taking aspirin for pain & decongestants for stuffiness but that is about it... You can't do anything a... No you can't because your immune system is already compromised and your white blood cells are fighting whatever it is you have. If you got the shot, you white blood cells will not tolerate it... no. don't give it another thought. ...Please try this for your immune system it worked for me!!!! go to the Supermarket and buy ten bottles of "KE FIR" AND drink ONE BOTTLE A DAY FOR TEN DAYS" and stop using white sugar... if you have a fever than its probably the flu or mono. make sure you drink a lot of fluids if youre going to exercise ...No, the flu shot does not cause you to get canker sores, get the flu or a cold. The only thing the flu shot may do as far as having side effects, is possibly cause a slight fever and some slight m... At 34 weeks it's unlikely to be "morning sickness".
