6 Year old got flu shot last friday, now her arm is all red swollen and hot to the touch..?


This is the first year my daughters have had flu shot, my 3.5 year old has no complications, but my older does. So i was just wanting some opionions on what to do here. She says that it feels like a sunburn, and in the reddest area its alittle hard to the touch. What i thought it was was just that it needed to be rubbed in or moved around..\
So what do you guys think??

A common reaction,it should go away soon.

sounds like some of the medication is in the subcutaneous skin. Any other symptoms, breathing, swallowing, emesis. Have you tried ice pack. Does she limit use of her arm.? If any of the above, she's needs medical exam. If it gets worse, take her in or 911.
