Is the swine flu anything to panic about?

I live in Greenfield MA and there are 2 reported cases in Lowell ma, should I be paniced or worried about this?

Take the proper precautions as we all should be doing for any flu or infectious disease. Wash your hands! Keep them washed and don't touch your face especially your eyes, nose or mouth. If you do get sick, stay home. Cover your mouth with a tissue, hankie, or your sleeve to keep others from catching it. Go to the doctor if you display flu symptoms. They do have drugs like Tamiflu to help fight the illness as long as you start it within the first 48 hours. Taking the steps needed to help contain it is so much better than to panic!

The swine flu virus is perhaps the trickiest known to medical science; it constantly changes form to elude the protective antibodies that the body has developed in response to previous exposures to influenza or to influenza vaccines. Every two or three years the virus undergoes minor changes. Then, at intervals of roughly a decade, after the bulk of the world's population has developed some level of resistance to these minor changes, it undergoes a major shift that enables it to tear off on yet another pandemic sweep around the world, infecting hundreds of millions of people who suddenly find their antibody defenses outflanked.

Even during the Spanish flu pandemic, the initial wave of the disease was relatively mild, while the second wave was highly lethal

i think we should be worried because it is spreading so quickly.
i live in queens, new york and a private high school was shut down.
so i'm a student, and i'm a little bit nervous, but since the flu is so mysterious people aren't sure if we should be terrified or not.

are you mexican?
the only people who have died so far are mexicans. which is VERY strange. medical researchers are investigating this, i think it's reallyyyy scary, but i'm not PANICING. because i know QUITE a few kids who got it, and they RECOVERED and are healthy now. it is just like regular flu!

so who knows.
im gonna keep praying everyone is safe and healthy
and wash yo handsssss. ( =

No, because more people have died from the regular flu this year than the swine flu and its not as bad as the regular flu either but we dont panic that much at all about the reg. flu so just wash yourself a litttle more than often and u should be good to go.

I found it out when I search in google.. it helped me a lot. Spread it to everyone you know.. build awareness and STOP the epidemic before it takes your love-one's or your life.

i wouldn't say you should worry about it. But i would take precautions about it. wash your hands a lot.

If you get it, worry. Well, call me first, then worry.

if I'm in mexico and people dying in less than 32 hours
