What is swine flu and what happened in the previous outbreak? |
10 Points for best and most clear answer! Umm...the first person who answered sounds like she might be a little paranoid! The swine flu is actually a combination of 3 flu viruses, pig bird and human. It is a respiratory disease that causes sore throat, chills fever (above 102) and normal flu symptoms. It seems to be different than most other viruses in that it affects people who are considered "healthy" harder than people who aren't. In other words people aged about 20-50 are becoming the fatalities not people who are immuno compromised like the very young and very old. This is leading doctors to believe that the immune system going at this virus with all it can is actually making it worse. This is a very scary idea. That the immune system which usually keeps us healthy is actually making this worse. The virus is spread person to person. The best method for preventing this from affecting you is to wash your hands frequently. The last outbreak of swine flu infected people at Ft. Dix. It had nothing to do with vaccines being given to the soldiers. What I see as a viable alternative to that is it has been found in this outbreak that people who have stronger immune systems are actually the ones getting sicker. The vaccine made the immune systems of the soldiers stronger thereby making them sicker than they otherwise would have been. So far the swine flu has been found in California Texas New York and Kansas. There is evidence that each of the outbreaks started with someone who visited Mexico. Though now the disease is spreading here in America. There have been a few schools shut down that have had confirmed cases of swine flu in their students. There is no cause for alarm yet. You should take precautions and if you have the symptoms that I mentioned call your doctor. It seems that here in the US the cases are not as serious as in Mexico. There are several possible reasons for that. One reason being given is that people here tend not to wait as long to see a doctor. A reason that I think makes sense is that Mexican people tend to have stronger immune systems than we do here in America and as they are exposed to more bacteria than we are on a daily basis. As I said before the virus is impacting people with stronger immune systems much worse than those who have weaker immune systems. Ok I'm not sure if I cleared anything up for you but I hope I did. Def: an acute and highly contagious respiratory disease of swine caused by the orthomyxovirus thought to be the same virus that caused the 1918 influenza pandemic. Remember 1976 and the so called Swine Flu outbreak that was purported to be a coming pandemic? It only infected recruits at Ft. Dix. Why? Because I believe that the so called Swine Flu virus infected the recruits due to the vaccines they were given. Whether the government developed the Swine Flu 1976 virus and infected the recruits as a means to test the public to see if people would comply with a call to take vaccination against Swine Flu, or the recruits became infected via contaminated vaccine they were given as part of the recruit regimen, that outbreak was as phony as they come. I was one of the people duped into taking a Swine Flu shot and it made me so sick. I was sick in bed for three months after taking the vaccine. yeah also believe on what the first person said..i think the government is testing the pandemic on us now...i mean Cmon aint it weird..this swine flu is more resistant and its a combination of avian pig and human! Since Barack Obama came from mexico..the pandemic started almost in the exact day..why our they doing this to us? Simple.."population control" the world is over populating..the only cure is genocide.
