What is the media leaving out about the swine flu that would most likely ease our minds?

Or should we all panic?

Odd flu this one is. Seems almost engineered doesn't it.

Frankly from my research they aren't really leaving out anything, except for that the deaths have been caused by cytokine storm and thus the usual "children, elderly, and sick" don't die from it. Instead people with healthy immune systems are the ones most at risk.

There's research that shows that getting plenty of vitamin D3 can help short out this reaction, but it's all been tested on mice--no human trials yet.

I don't agree that it seems engineered. The Spanish influenza of 1918 bore the same hallmarks of this strain and is even from the same family, and it killed by the same immune reaction. You're not gonna try to tell me that someone engineered the Spanish flu, are you? ;)

It will be all propaganda and media hype. Seriously, there will be nothing you can do about it until someone has a cure or prevention.

Until then, kick back, relax and be healthy.

Remember when the equine flu was about? or what about Chinas Bird flu? Restrict the sick to quarantine and the healthy will be fine . . somewhat anyway :)

Three weeks back Bird flu was reportedly transported by the Department of homeland Security in USA

Who benefits from Swine Flu Pandemic?

The swine flu outbreak is likely to benefit one of the most prolific and successful venture capital firms in the United States: Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Thomson Reuters Private Equity Week reported on Friday.

Shares of the two public companies in the firm's portfolio of eight Pandemic and Bio Defense companies -- BioCryst Pharmaceuticals (BCRX.O) and Novavax (NVAX.O) -- jumped Friday on news that the swine flu killed a reported 60 people in Mexico and has infected people in the United States.

And here is more ....

Baxter: Product contained live bird flu virus

The company that released contaminated flu virus material from a plant in Austria confirmed Friday that the experimental product contained live H5N1 avian flu viruses.

And an official of the World Health Organization鈥檚 European operation said the body is closely monitoring the investigation into the events that took place at Baxter International鈥檚 research facility in Orth-Donau, Austria
