Due to the recent Swine Flu outbreak, what are some ways one might protect themselves at school? |
I live in San Diego where there have been a few cases, but I was just wondering if anyone has advice on how to avoid contracting the flu. Thanks in advance! The same way you would protect yourself against any other flu.....wash your hands often, try to stay away from other persons that may have the flu, don't touch your eyes, nose or mouth, get plenty of sleep and eat right. If you don't have access to soap and water, use of hand sanitizers is the next best thing. I put a bit in my hands and then rub it on my computer mouse, my pens, stapler, etc. to disinfect and kill germs. It prevented me from getting sick all winter long, even though the two ladies I work with had horrible colds. The cdc has released a statement detailing what kind of precautions should be taken. Pretty much what we should all do and that is wash your hands frequently, cover your mouth when you cough and sneeze and also use antibacterial sanitizer frequently. Just follow all the precautions they say to follow for cold and flu season. |
