How to get rid of stomach flu/ food poisining?

How to get rid of stomach flu/ food poisining?

drink lots of water and take over the counter stuff to help with nause/vomitting/diarrhea; it just takes time but anything over a couple days should be looked into especially if theres a risk of dehydration. good luck and hope you feel better.
Unfortunately, there's no fast cure. What's important to watch out for is dehydration: be sure to drink plenty of fluids. Clear sodas, like Sprite or 7up, can help settle your stomach. Avoid foods that are hard to digest: cheese, fat, meat, etc. Eating crackers can help if you're up to it. Get a lot of rest, and take OTC meds to help keep the symptoms under control.

When to see a doc: if your urine looks dark (a sign of dehydration), if you're unable to keep any fluids down, if you vomit blood, if your symptoms persist or get worse (I'd give it 3 days). If any of those things happen, esp the first three, get to a doc fast--or the ER if you have to.
