Why does food taste bad when you have the flu?

Why does food taste bad when you have the flu?

your tastebuds are out of wack when he has a cold.
When you get a flu, your nose "plugs" up. The nose makes the tongue able to taste food. Try it. When you pinch your nose, and eat something, you really can't taste it.
That's your body's way of saying: DON'T FEED ME. Just give me plenty of FLUIDS, so I can heal myself. Once the flu is gone, your taste buds will return full-force and everything will taste extra good! :)
