Am I right to be worried too much about the bird flu? |
Am I right to be worried too much about the bird flu? UNITED NATIONS (AP) The spread of bird flu from Asia to eastern Europe and now west Africa has increased the chance the virus will mutate and set off a pandemic, the U.N. bird flu chief said. Each day the possibility of an Avian Flu pandemic comes dangerously closer. We want to help you and your family prepare before it strikes . The virus has now spread into 42 countries and the list is growing every day. There is human-to-human spread (in spite of what you may have heard). The virus is seeking efficiency in human infection. There are now documented 'mixes' with other viruses. Because of Katrina, you would think governments would be handling this differently. But no, ultimately, nothing changes. There will be two types of people: Those who accept the fact that they are on their own, and those who think someone will come to save them and their family. The progression of Avian Influenza into an efficient human-to-human form becomes statistically more likely every day. No one can prevent this epidemic, but we want to keep our families safe and protected in the event that the outbreak occurs. We are here for the realists. Helping others get past the obstacles and to create a plan for both avoiding infection and for having the proper supplies is our goal. We have put quite a lot of thought and preparation into what we (and many of our greatest scientists) believe may be inevitable. If a SuperFlu sweeps the globe, who will haul away the garbage? Who will grow, package, and transport food and other necessities? Stock and sell the groceries we need to survive? Protect us from criminals? Keep electricity, gas, and water flowing? We have only a small portion of the medical infrastructure we need to handle this. Within days, our health care system will be completely overwhelmed. Are you one of the people who can make intelligent decisions, and make it through this? Goto this site it will help you to prepare: http://www.planforflu.com/ I hope this helped..... Don At this point only if you are a chicken farmer in Asia or europe. Or if you eat bird droppings. Until bird flu learns how to transmit from human to human, you have nothing to worry about. No. First off, even if it were out of control, what could you do about it? Second, it's not out of control. Third, there are a few companies that make antibody drugs that could come up with a remedy when it makes fiscal sense to do so. One is named Avanir I think. They made a drug that cures Anthrax after the president promised he'd pay handsomely to companies that did. Of course, that just ended up being another of his long list of lies. I think people do worry too much about it if you live in N.A. So many scares around........SARS, anthrax......etc..the list is endless. But news do not report how many people are killed in road accidents ! no. just remember, this is a so-called 'pandemic.' I would only worry about epidemics. I wouldn't worry to much about it. As far as I know it hasn't came to the US yet. When it does then you can worry about it. |
