I' ve been taking thyroxine for ten years,a lot of flu viruses lately,tests ok.Help please?
I don't think taking thyroxine and having a lot of flu viruses has any correlation. Your immune system may be lower than normal. I get so lucky every year it seems and go without catching a cold or the flu without a shot. I take a lot of precautions and I am not very sociable. When you get the flu once in a season, your immune system becomes weakened leaving you wide open for other germs, bacteria, etc. There are so many strains out there that you are a magnet when you are already compromised. I take levothyroxine. It's a synthetic thyroid hormone. So, may I ask why you think the two go hand in hand? |
