Why does my son have a fever, if he got the flu shot? |
what could he have? when someone gets the flu shot, they get a dead flu cell virus injected into them. Your body thinks it is the actual thing and starts to fight it. It becomes immune, but you first get a "hint" of the actual flu. I don't believ it lasts long. After my brother got his, he felt flu symtomps for about 24 hours. sinus infection? stomache virus. sometimes the flu shot gets a person the flu When one gets the flu shot he is actually getting the flu virus injected into his body to build up his immunities. It is not unusual for one to get the flu shortly afterwards. i think you can still get the flue if uv had the shot i think the shot just helps u not to get it as easy Do you meant few days after the shot he got fever? It is normal. the vaccine is actually some "weaken" virus, your body still have to fight with the virus... Frankly, the flu vaccine is just the prediction of some lab people (Biochemist), for which strain of virus will be more popular in the up coming year. It might not able to prevent another strain of virus. Therefore you son might also catch a flu even after the flu vaccine. how long ago did he get the shot? you actually get flu symptoms after getting the shot and mildly sick. It is still possible to get the flu, even if a person gets a flu shot. Did he get the shot recently, if so it could be a reaction from that. Hope he feels better soon..... |
