Why does your lower back hurt when you are getting the flu?

Why does your lower back hurt when you are getting the flu?

It is due to the secretion of prostaglandins and other chemical substances in the body.
Pain in joints and back are often symptoms of the flu.
It may be related to lymph. Just like with mono when your lymph nodes swell and you are achy.......white blood cells (cells that fight infection) increase in number when you are sick to try to fight the infection. There is a thoracic duct near you back that carries lymph. Maybe it gets congested? complete guess!
i experience feeling the aches when the effect of the paracetamol and other medicines fade. maybe it starts to hurt early on without the body noticing it because of the medicines. a common symptom; but still a good question.
