Since yesterday afternoon i have been feeling like I have the flu. I took Benadryl last night but it made me?

...feel really weird....like i was out of it and was feeling almost impaired... maybe it's because i usually don't take any of this stuff or beneadryl is not fo r me...

Does anyone know any other over the counter medication for flu symptoms that do not have these weird side effects, or should i just got the doctor?

Oh no! How are you feeling right now sugar? I wish I could do something to make you feel better. I wish I was there with you to take care of you. I will email you my information and if you need anything please don't hesitate to contact me! I want to be your friend more than anything else, all other feelings I have for you aside.

I'm at work right now but just say the word and I will do anything to help. is there someone taking care of you or are you alone sweetie?

just get a lot of sleep and maybe get some sudafed or some cold and flu advils. don't forget to drink plenty of fluids. I will be checking in with you, but you just rest! you will get better, i promise. don't worry all these medications make you feel weird, they make you feel out of it. just try to get as much sleep as you can.
Benadryl is usually recommended by my doctors to be taken @ night. It'll make you drowsy & it says so in the box. Try Tyelnol Cold or Dimetapp. If you have phlegm or mucus try Mucinex. If you have this cold for over three days seek a doctor it might be the flu or viral.
Work at a 5 doctor clinic & this is what they usually prescribe.
You do not need to see a doc for the flu. Drink lots of liquids and take pain meds if you are achy. Otherwise there is not much you can do for the flu but to ride it out. Benadryl is an antihistamine and can cause you to feel loopy or tired so that was not an unusual reaction. You said you have the flu though so I am not sure why you even took Benadryl.
Maybe God want you to change your sign. Go for freedom and believe in it.
I had the flu as did everyone else I know. At the worst of it, we all seemed to express feeling out of it and impaired. Ex. unable to focus or not remembering conversations that happened an hour ago. Just feeling somewhat menatally overwhelmed. I would imagine that the benadryl had a hand in how you were feeling, but trust me...that is the flu making you feel out of it. I am one of those people who doesn't take time off work, and I was out for 2 days and when I went back on the third I still had moments of feeling weak and out of it.

I took Robittusin night time cough and flu medicine and it didn't really make me feel any better flu wise, so don't bother with that one. I suggest you sleep it of with some nyquill...but that won't make you feel any more sain. If you want something to get you feeling more awake take any day time medicine with psuedaphedrine in it.
