Does anyone know any nice tasting drink remedies for a cold and flu?? |
Yes, I know its easy to just buy over the counter remedies. But I have always found home remedies to be best and the best tasting (sometimes) any ideas would be really helpfull. Honey is full of antibiotics. It works for me in alleviating the symptoms. Hot honey lemon. I always find that a mug of lemonade (or Sprite) heated in the microwave with a dollop of honey does the trick, no nasty drugs and always makes me feel better, and if I'm feeling really sick a splash of whisky added after its been heated really tastes good! You're in luck! I'm sitting home right now with the flu! Try this recipe: (it's super easy to make) 1) Heat up water in microwave (do this in the cup you'll be drinking out of) The water should be very hot! 2) Add a lot of honey (2 or 3 tablespoons) 3) Add about one teaspoon of lemon juice. IT'S REALLY GOOD FOR THE SENSES! Hot Tea with a shot of rum and a tablespoon of honey. Drink a couple of them as hot as possible and go to bed. You should feel better in the morning. That was my fathers home remedy and I still use it. russian style is 3 tylenol and about 6 oz of vodka... Ditto to everyone who mentioned hot tea, lemon, or honey. Hot lemon tea with honey is great for soothing a sore throat, and may have antiviral properties (remember that colds and flus are caused by viruses and not bacteria). Zinc lozenges with the tea are also nice. two shots of sky vodka, one table spoon of honey.enjoy! |
