Someone who knows please answer. Gerd so bad that I need help, do you have answers? |
A few years ago I had a bad car accident. my stomach ended up behind my heart. I had to surgeries to fix it. I have very little stomach left. Thanks, Scarver, I am doing those thing plus oxygen at night and a mask to help me breath. and I might lose my esophagus. It scares the daylights out of me. I take previced twice a day, it is very expensive. I would recommend the following but if it does not work look into the surgery. I have done research into the surgery and I have not found very few negative complications. I am not sure if this will help your situation as I am not sure what you are asking. If it is how to sleep better at night. I can tell you my father had a similar problem, but it was due to cancer, and he had surgery on his stomach and esophagus. They removed most of his esophagus and it was shortened significantly then reattached to his stomach. At night he slept on a regular bed, but propped up the head end with some bricks to get an agle on the bed to help reduce the flow of acid. This only helped a little, but it did help a little. Maybe even try to get a hospital bed or an adjustable bed similar to a Craftmatic that will allow you to raise your body up a little to help keep the acid from flowing up. They also gave him Prilosec to try and reduce the acid reflux. Have they given you any of this? I am so sorry to hear you are suffering. i unfortunately don't know much about this but i am very much into natural healing. do some research online to see if there are any types of foods, juices or herbs you can take to help heal yourself. also, as hard as it may be, try your best to think positive and really visualize yourself getting better and being healed. try meditation and deep breathing at night before you sleep. close your eyes and focus on just your breathing and the feeling and sound of your breath. if a thought comes into your head just acknowledge it and then dismiss it and keep focusing on your breath. this helps me fall asleep as i have a very hard time myself due to anxiety. i will pray for you and know you are not alone. keep seeking help. someone will know what to do for you. good luck! |
