My 7 month old son has GERD(acid reflux). What foods should I avoid feeding him that might aggravate his reflu

i heard apple juice is high in acid but what else should i avoid

just give him Prilosec OTC
or
Zantac 75
or
Pepcid AC

tum, tu-tum-tum TUMS!!!!!!!!!!!

my little brother has it, also,
and my mum has
him avoid a lot of acidy things, obviousley,
and
she dosent have him eat within 30 mins.
before sleeping,
because thats when he gets it most.
Alos, she gives him papaya pills,
because those are supposed to be good for him.
I would suggest asking the docter about
this, also, because
it can prove to be a problem in the future.
hope i helped some ^_^

Actually, *apple cider vinegar* is an excellent GERD remedy ... you'll find lots about this online, and it can be mixed with apple juice for him. Avoid tomatoes .... they're surprisingly aggravating. If he likes ginger, that's another excellent curative option; a honey and ginger drink fixes it for me every time; I'm totally off meds now because of it. Good luck!

I would suggest you go to www.webmd.com for that answer and not this forum. Do the symptom checker and make sure you input the information for your son.

i think avoiding any type of acidic juices and fruits would probably help in preventing a flare up...

i dont know if babies eat foods with tomatoe sauce in it but tomatoes would flare it up too i think...

Here's an informative site. http://www.infantrefluxdisease.com

Try to find out what's causing the reflux in the first place. In my son's case it was his oat allergy. This site says that a lot of babies with reflux are actually allergic to milk and that's what's causing their reflux.

Good luck and I hope your son feels better soon!
