My tongue and side of my mouth is burning and numb, like I've swallowed acid but it's not GERD. Any ideas? |
For more than 18 months now, I've had a nasty disgusting (though causes no mouth odor) feeling on the left side of my mouth and tongue. It feels like I've drank acid (if I knew what that felt like). It's not acid reflux or GERD, it's not a bad tooth or abscess. Nothing works and no doctor seems to have a clue what I'm talking about. One even suggested it's psychological and I'm crazy. I don't know where to turn. I can't take off tons of days from work and go through expensive tests to have everything come back negative. It's so bad, sometimes I get desperate and want to do anything to make it go away. It never leaves, it's always there, just sometimes is much worse than other times. Any ideas what it could be? Could it be a pinched nerve or pressure from sinus? |
