Any idea's on how i can replace my daily coffee now that i cannot drink it anymore? (I have GERD)?

since i have GERD i cant have my daily dose of java. Unfortunately, i am having a hard time functioning without it. I cant have soda either...OMG!!! What can i drink or take (besides my vitamins that i already take each day) to keep me awake in the morning. Thanks for your responses.

Look your probably not going to believe this but I will give it a shot. Im not condoning that you drink soda or coffee because its just not good for you. I thought I would save you from a life time of medication that will just make you constipated.

If you take one tbs of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar before you eat anything you will not have gerd after about a week. You need to continue it for a month just to let you body heal. I know it tastes horrible but you will actually feel better if you just do it.

1 soda a day (even diet) puts 15 lbs a year on you. One cup of coffee is okay... but more than that it is not good for you.

You should get used to drinking green tea or something like that if you need to be drinking something that gives you energy.... you should just exercise and eat right. If you do a good frozen fruit protein shake with complex carb added you will not fall asleep.

Iron deficency test: Go to the mirror and pull your lower eyelid and see if the color is red or flesh color. If its flesh colored you are lacking enough iron and should take a herbal iron like Floradix. It will take a month to see a difference. Iron carrys oxygen in your blood and if you dont have it you will feel tired, cold hands and feet, headaches, RLS, dull brittle hair, brittle nails, poor sleep, pale skin (see thru), shortness of breath, fatigue, poor concentration, low mood, ringing in the ears, cracks in the corner of the mouth, dizziness, fainting, sore tongue and canker sores oh and pale mucous membranes in lower eyelid.

Not many options . . . Constant Comment tea has some very good teas naturally flavored with spices or fruit - you can add cream to make it a little closer to the coffee experience, otherwise, there's high-caffeine drinks like Red Bull, and caffeinated bottled water, such as Water Joe.

i switched to tea and eating an apple which i read is more effective than coffee, i don't know why. i thought i would try and it works. i hope it works for you too!

Try to get to bed earlier and make sure that you are taking a multi-vitamin daily. This can boost your energy. Drink decaf coffee...it might trick your body. :)
