Gerd or gastritis or anxiety or gas?

Hi I get burning in my chest when stressed shortness of breath teeth pain numb jaw tight throat sharp pain in arm chin sometimes
I do get gas really bad and hot burps or?Aches and pains headaches dizzeness what could this be I had ekg and xray in feb turned out fine.

Gastritis and/or oesophagitis can lead to similar symptoms which mimic anginal attack. Sometimes the spasm of the lower oesophageal sphincter can cause this sort of a pain.

However the diagnostic dilemma can be settled with a Tread Mill Test, Echocardiography, ECG/EKG. Tests for cardiac troponins (tested from blood) when the pain is on, shall also be required.

Why don't you give a therapeutic test for your illness. Lets say you take nitrate tab sublingually (beneath your tongue) and see if your pain subsides. If it does, then you are more likely to be suffering from angina. If there is no difference or relief, the next time you have this pain, try a Digene Gel and if the pain gets relieved, you know it that it was from the digestive tract.
The only way you can rule out GERD or a hiatal hernia or any other digestive problem is by having an EGD. This is a procedure where they put you under conscious sedation and put a scope down thru your esophagus into your stomach and check for any abnormalities. They may also take a few samples for biopsies. Once any digestive problems are ruled out, then you can begin to narrow it down to a anxiety issue. A doctor that is taking a full history and physical and the proper testing on you is really the ONLY person who can answer this question for you. Any other answers are simply guesses. And when it comes to your health.....don't rely on guesses!!!!
Nurse and I also have GERD with a hiatal hernia.
Please see the webpages for more details on Gastritis and GERD.
